Dr. Dana Latour is the founder of Franklin Dermatology and the Latour Skin Care Center in Franklin, Tennessee. She was born in Mobile, Alabama and raised in Augusta, Georgia. After graduation from the University of Georgia, Dana earned her master’s degree at the University of Tennessee in the specialty of vertebrate zoology. She entered the University of Tennessee Medical School, where she met her future husband, Dr. Paul Latour.
Following graduation in 1977, Dana did her dermatology residency at the University of Tennessee, and then moved with Dr. Paul and their two daughters to Nashville in 1982, when she opened Franklin Dermatology, Williamson County’s first dermatology specialty clinic. She was also appointed to Vanderbilt Dermatology as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine under Dr. Lloyd King and practiced in the Vanderbilt clinic for about five years. Since then, and after creating Williamson County’s first medical aesthetic service, the Latour Skin Care Center in 1995, Dr. Dana’s Franklin Dermatology Group has expanded to include three physicians, nine nurses, two aestheticians and seven business staff.
Dr. Dana Latour is a member of Tennessee Women in Medicine, the American Association of Dermatologists, the Tennessee Medical Association, and she is also a former officer in the Nashville Academy of Medicine.
